A path walked for thirty years
At the end of 1992, just turned twenty, Guo Xinmin made the most important decision of his life—to study under Mr. Yu Xianhua, a professor at the Henan Provincial Party School and the 23rd generation inheritor of Jin Gang Li Gong, to systematically practice this internal martial art that originated in the Han Dynasty and matured in the Song Dynasty, with a history of over a thousand years.
This study lasted for seven years.
Over seven years, he followed Professor Yu Xianhua day and night to hone his techniques—the Vajra Pile Method, Sun Character Skill, Moon Character Skill, and Jade Bottle Pile—from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels. He transformed from a practitioner into a capable assistant to Professor Yu, dedicating immense effort to help the Vajra Power Skill transition from a family secret to public dissemination.
But he did not stop.
After completing his apprenticeship under Professor Yu Xianhua, Guo Xinmin embarked on a path of 'visiting renowned masters': he went to Mengcun, Hebei, to study under Bajiquan masters Wu Dawei and Li Junyi, learning Wu-style Open-Door Bajiquan;he traveled south to Guangdong, successively studying under Wing Chun lineage holders Zheng Weimin, Zhang Guangjie, and Li Zhaohua in Foshan;and he further went to Hong Kong to advance his training under Wing Chun masters Li Hengchang and Guo Weizhan of the Ip Man lineage.
Internal martial arts as the foundation, Bajiquan's fierce power as the framework, and Wing Chun's refined techniques as application—three supreme arts converged within him.

Guo-style Wing Chun: Integrating the strengths of three schools, pioneering a new lineage
After years of practice, teaching, and combat refinement, Guo Xinmin integrated the internal power generation of Vajra Power Skill, the fierce explosiveness of Bajiquan, and the technical essence of multiple Wing Chun masters to create the uniquely distinctive Guo-style Wing Chun.
Unlike traditional Wing Chun, Guo-style Wing Chun integrates the internal energy 'Qi' throughout. In his words: 'Practicing martial arts without cultivating internal energy is a waste in the end.'The internal energy training of Jin Gang Li Gong has elevated Guo-style Wing Chun's inch-power generation to a new level—punches are faster, penetration is stronger, and control over the opponent is more precise.
His original 'Comprehensive Wing Chun Power Cycle Training Method' scientifically links training modules such as basic skills, free-form partner drills, Chi Sao, application breakdowns, wooden dummy, Six-and-a-Half-Point Pole, and Eight-Slash Knives. Verified through years of teaching practice, it significantly enhances practitioners' martial power.
The philosophy of Guo-style Wing Chun is summarized in eight characters: Self-strengthening, Self-protection, Enjoyment, and Transcendence. It is not about seeking conflict, but about balancing physical wellness with mental fortitude, having the ability to protect oneself when facing threats, cultivating more refined personal cultivation in daily life, and ultimately breaking through limits to surpass oneself.

Planting Chinese Kung Fu in the World
In 1999, Guo Xinmin traveled with the Chinese Wushu Performance Troupe to represent the country on a visit and performance tour to Algeria in Africa. That experience showed him the world's desire for Chinese Kung Fu.
In the more than thirty years since, his teaching map has continued to expand: domestically, he served as the Executive Vice President of the Shandong Yantai Kunyu Mountain Martial Arts School for nineteen years (2007-2026);internationally, his footprints have covered Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Oceania. In 2023, he was invited to teach as the head coach at the Osaka Kung Fu School in Japan, teaching Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Baji Quan, and Neijia Qigong.
His French disciple, Eric Ali Lahaye, has already opened a school to teach in Marseille, France, gaining recognition from the French martial arts community, and has achieved a record of three wins in three fights (all by TKO) on professional Muay Thai rings in Thailand. His American disciple, Jeff, was inducted into the American Martial Arts Hall of Fame. His German disciple, Emil, won the championship in a Sanda competition.
"Some foreign disciples have already started opening schools to teach in their own countries," said Guo Xinmin. "They have brought the seeds of Chinese Kung Fu back to their home countries, which is the thing that gratifies me the most.""
In 2021, Guo Xinmin was named one of the "Yantai Top 100 Sunshine Martial Artists."

2026: Sanya, A New Starting Point
In 2026, Guo Xinmin left the Kunyu Mountain Martial Arts School where he had taught for nineteen years, went south to Hainan, and founded the Sanya Jingang Ligong Martial Arts School.
"Hainan has the best climate, the policy advantages of a free trade port, and students from 59 countries can enter visa-free.He chose Sanya not only because it is suitable for year-round training but also because it is a hub connecting China and the world.
The martial arts school offers 11 traditional martial arts courses, with Jingang Ligong as the core, supplemented by Wing Chun, Bajiquan, Tai Chi, Shaolin Martial Arts, Wudang Fist, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Sanda, Nanquan, and Qigong.Guo Xinmin personally teaches Jingang Ligong and Guo-style Wing Chun, and has invited his direct disciples Ji Conghe (25th generation inheritor), Liu Bin (25th generation inheritor), and Liu Piaohong, a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, to form the core teaching team.
"Empowering global elites, integrating tradition and the future"—this is the phrase on the school's official website, and also Guo Xinmin's summary of his thirty-year martial arts journey.
